  • Bridal Bazaar.

Yesterday I went to my very first bridal bazaar. Apparently I picked a good one because this one only happens once and year and it is the biggest one. It had over three hundred exhibits and you only had six hours to go through it. I didn't think it would be so time consuming but it definitely was. In the six hours, I don't believe we got through even half of the exhibits. It was so much fun though, being around all of these happy people planning their big days. We got cake samples, there was a fashion show, and everyone was just so nice and happy. I ended up winning a free week of personal training and a nutrition assessment, which I'm really excited about, and then also one free personal training session elsewhere. My mom won a MaryKay pampering session and I am so super excited for that. We will be going on Thursday. Definitely pictures will accompany that. I got some really great ideas and some potential vendors. I also have two dress fitting appointments coming up near the end of next month. I didn't really want to do those, because it is so far away but they insisted, so if anything, at least it will be fun. You get a loooot of savings when you go to these things. All in all it was definitely a great experience and I can't wait to go to another one.

This is the aftermath. All of the things you get from going. I had a backpack which was not nearly enough, not to mention the pain in your back from carrying so much weight on it. They give out bags like nobody's business, so I think I carried around two bags and a backpack, and of course bags within bags. Now I've got a lot of sorting and researching to do. I know my day is really far away but I can't help but be insanely excited over this. Besides, this is going to take a loooot of time. I'm down. :]

  • Improvement.

Something that I would really like to improve on is my weight. I am by no means obese, but I would like to weight less for my wedding. I know I still have a long time until the wedding so I am not stressed about it but I would like to start now. The first step is to call my back doctor and have him refer me to physical therapy. I used to go to the gym all the time until I sprained my back and it just hasn't been the same. I've been in a lot of pain lately because of it and it stops me from being as physical as I would like to be. I'm going to continue eating healthier and drinking more and more water. I know the way to get to where I want. I've lost about twenty pounds already but I would like to lose another forty to sixty. I know it's doable, especially with all the time that I have until the big day. I'm definitely going to strive to make this happen. Wish me luck everyone! pleased

  • Hi everyone! I wanted to start a blog because I'm starting to plan for my wedding and wanted to be able to document it all. I'd love feedback! Thanks everyone. :D
  • Just another day.

January 19th is the day that we really decided we would be married. Now, he never officially proposed, but my family was talking about needing notice when the time came, which led us to talking. We believe we are soul mates and we want to be married. He knows when and how he will propose. We are already planning the wedding. It's all so exciting! I was never sure this day would come. We won't be married until 2014 but the journey to there will be amazing, I'm sure. Up until today we had just been brainstorming on things we wanted for the wedding. So far, we had a mock guest list, a venue, an idea for flowers, the idea to have disposable cameras on every table so we can have a lot of photos, the colors, the date, most of the bridal party, and an idea of the food. Today though, was our first day of official wedding planning. Today we went and looked at the venue in which we will be married. We will be getting married on the boat that my parents got married on. Consequently the date that we picked, is the date of his parent's anniversary. I think the date mixed with the venue is absolutely stunning, bringing two families together like that. I am so excited!

Having this ring means that I am on my way to being married. My great grandma, my grandma, and my mom all wore it when they got married. Now it has been passed down to me. More updates to come! :]
